2016考研英语阅读长难句实例分析（30）

考研英语长难句是让很多考生头疼的一大难题，对于长难句的结构分析、主旨把握及语义提炼想到一步位并不容易，这需要大家熟练掌握语法的同时，平时多练习和总结才行。下面新东方在线就和大家一起通过实例练习及解析来一步步提升长难句的解读能力。

2016考研英语阅读长难句实例分析（30）

　　1. This is the credibility process, through whichthe individual researcher's me, here, now becomesthe community's anyone, anywhere, anytime.

　　【分析】复合句。句子主干为 This is...process...。which引导非限定性定语从句，修饰 process，其中介词 through提前。

　　【译文】这是一个信任的过程，通过这个过程，个体研究者的“我”、“此地”、“此时”变成了整个科学界的“任何人”、“任何地方”和“任何时间”。

　　2. Within the complex social structure of the scientific community, researchers makediscoveries; editors and reviewers act as gatekeepers by controlling the publication process;other scientists use the new finding to suit their own purpose; and finally, the public (includingother scientists) receives the new discovery and possibly accompanying technology.

　　【分析】并列句。由分号及 and 连接四个并列的分句。第一个分句的主干为 researchers makediscoveries。第二个分句的主干为 editors and reviewers act。第三个分句的主干为 scientistsuse...finding...。第四个分句的主干为 the public...receives...discovery and...technology。Within thecommunity 作四个分句共同的状语。

　　【译文】在科学界的复杂社会结构里，研究人员负责发现事物;编辑和评论作为看门人掌握着发表发现的进程;其他科学家按自己的研究目的运用新发现;最终大众(包括其他科学家)接受新发现以及可能随之而来的新技术。

　　【点拨】1) suit 作名词时意为“一套衣服”，作动词时意为“适合于，使满意”。2) accompany “陪伴，伴随”。

　　3. As a discovery claim works it through thecommunity, the interaction and confrontationbetween shared and competing beliefs about thescience and the technology involved transforms anindividual's discovery claim into the community'scredible discovery.

　　【分析】复合句。句子主干为 the interaction andconfrontation...transforms...claiminto...discovery。as 引导的时间状语从句。主句中between...involved 作定语，修饰主语 the interactionand confrontation。

　　【译文】当一个发现申明通过了科学界的层层考验，与之相关的科学和技术所共有和冲突的信念间相互作用、相互对抗，使个人申明的发现转化成为科学界可信的发现。

　　4. First, scientific work tends to focus on some aspect of prevailing knowledge that is viewedas incomplete or incorrect.

　　【分析】复合句。句子主干为 work tends to focus on...，that 引导定语从句，修饰 knowledge。

　　【译文】第一，科学工作倾向于针对现有的知识中被认为不完全或不正确的某个方向。

　　【点拨】prevailing“普遍的;流行的”。
