2016考研英语阅读长难句实例分析（55）

考研英语长难句是让很多考生头疼的一大难题，对于长难句的结构分析、主旨把握及语义提炼想到一步位并不容易，这需要大家熟练掌握语法的同时，平时多练习和总结才行。下面新东方在线就和大家一起通过实例练习及解析来一步步提升长难句的解读能力。

2016考研英语阅读长难句实例分析（55）

　　1. Thus, in his view, diverse aspects of culture,such as the structure of families, forms of marriage,categories of kinship, ownership of property,forms of government, technology, and systems offood production, all changed as societies evolved.

　　【分析】复合句。主干结构是 diverse aspects of cultureall changed...。短语 such as...food production 作插入语，as societies evolved 是 as 引导的时间状语从句。

　　【译文】因此，按照摩根的观点，文化的各个方面——比如家庭结构、婚姻形式、亲属关系类别、财产所有权、政府形式、科技以及食品生产体系——都随着社会的发展而改变。

　　2. Boats felt that the culture of any society must be understood as the result of a uniquehistory and not as one of many cultures belonging to a broader evolutionary stage or type ofculture.

　　【分析】复合句。句子主干是 Boats felt that...。that 引导宾语从句，宾语从句的主干是 the culture ofany society must be understood as...and not as...，其中现在分词短语 belonging to 作 cultures 的后置定语。

　　【译文】鲍亚士认为任何社会的文化都应该被理解为某一独特历史的产物，而不属于任何文化更广义的进化阶段或文化类型的一种。

　　【点拨】evolutionary 是 evolve 的形容词形式，意为“进化的，发展的，演变的”。

　　3. Some attributed virtually every importantcultural achievement to the inventions of a few,especially gifted peoples that, according todiffusionists, then spread to other cultures.

　　【分析】复合句。句子主干包含 attribute...to...结构;that 引导的定语从句修饰先行词 inventions;according to diffusionists 为插入语。

　　【译文】有些人类学家认为，几乎每项重要的文化成就都是少数特别有天赋的民族所发明创造的。根据传播论者的看法，这些发明后来传播到其他的文化中。

　　【点拨】1) attribute...to... 含义是“将...归因于...”。2)virtually 意为“几乎，简直;实际上”。

　　【临摹】我们把成功归因于你的有益的建议和指导。

　　4. "Woman are particularly susceptible to developing depression and anxiety disorders inresponse to stress compared to men." according to Dr. Yehuda, chief psychiatrist at NewYork's Veteran's Administration Hospital.

　　【分析】本句结构比较简单，引号内的内容为 Dr. Yehuda 说的话，其主干为 Woman are particularlysusceptible to developing depression and anxiety disorders。according to 意为“在...看来”;chief psychiatrist... 为 Dr. Yehuda 的同位语，起补充说明的作用。

　　【译文】纽约退伍军人管理医院的首席精神病学家叶胡达博士说，“在面对压力时，女性比男性更易患抑郁症和焦虑症”。

　　【点拨】susceptible 意为“易受影响的;敏感的;易患病的”，常用于be susceptible to 结构。

　　【临摹】任何产业都会受到潮流影响，包括出版业。
