　　Social practice is a good way to guideundergraduates out of the university to get in touchwith society and to understand nationalconditions.It can also combine theory andpractice,and connect intellectuals and society.It is animportant channel for college students to devote to the construction of the country,learn insociety and train themselves.It is also an effective approach to improve collegestudents'ideological consciousness,enhance their awareness of serving society and promotetheir healthy growth.Social practice can help college students renew ideas and establish correctview of the world,life and value.Meanwhile,undergraduate's participation in social practice hascertain positive effect on construction of the socialist material and spiritual civilization.

　　大学生社会实践活动是引导学生走出校门、接触社会、了解国情，使理论与实践相结合、知识分子与社会相结合的良好形式;是大学生投身祖国建设，向社会学习，培养锻炼才干的重要渠道;是提高思想觉悟、增强大学生服务社会的意识，促进大学生健康成长的有效途径。社会实践活动有助于大学生更新观念，树立正确的世界观、人生观、价值观。同时，大学生参加社会实践对社会主义物质文明建设和精神文明建设也可起到一定的积极作用。

　　1.引导学生走出校门:可译为to guide undergraduatesout of university。

　　2.接触社会:可译为get in touch with the society。get intouch意为“接触，联系”。

　　3.投身祖国建设:可译为devote to the construction ofthe countiy。其中devote to 意为“投身于，奉献”，to为介词。

　　4.更新观念:可译为renew ideas。其中renew意为“更新”。

　　5.同时:可译为meanwhile或at the same time,也可译为in the meantime。

　　6.起到积极作用:可译为have a positive effect on或have a positive impact on。
