　　Intravenous infusion

　　Jiangsu has become the first province to block intravenous infusion of *antibiotics to *outpatients in public hospitals, China Daily reported on Aug 17. According to the Beijing Youth Daily, China’s hospitals administer the world’s largest amount of intravenous infusions of antibiotics each year. The latest move in Jiangsu aims to raise public awareness of the risks of overuse of antibiotics and to encourage reform on the use of intravenous infusions of the medicines nationwide.

　　《中国日报》8月17日报道，江苏成为全国第一个全面叫停门诊输液的省份。据《北京青年报》报道，我国医院每年使用抗生素静脉注射量居全球之首。江苏省此举旨在提升抗生素过度使用的公众意识，同时也推动全国范围内输液用药的改革。

　　马上学：“打点滴”有很多短语可以表达，have an intravenous drip、injected with intravenous drip以及put on a drip。口语中也可以用take a drip。
