语言知识

语法知识

考生熟练掌握基本的语法知识，并能将其熟练运用于听、说、读、写、译的实践，熟练使用各种衔接手段，连贯地表达思想。

词汇

· 考生要求认知词汇12,000个及以上；且能正确而熟练地使用其中的6,000个及以上。

· 除掌握词汇的基本含义外，考生还应掌握词汇之间的词义关系，如同义词、近义词、反义词等；掌握词汇之间的搭配关系，如动词与介词、形容词与介词、形容词与名词等；掌握词汇生成的基本知识，如词源、词根、词缀等。

语言技能

阅读

· 测试考生通过阅读获取和理解有关信息的能力，既要求准确性和速度，又要求考生具有理解、分析语篇和对语篇内容作出客观评价的能力。

· 要求考生能读懂一般英美报刊杂志上的社论和书评、英语国家出版的有一定难度的历史传记和文学作品；能分析上述题材文章的思想观点、语篇结构、语言特点和修辞手法。

· 要求考生能够读懂与本人学习或工作有关的文献资料，如相关专业部分英文学术期刊的文章。

· 对所选阅读材料，考生应达到以下水平：

1）理解主旨要义；

2）理解文中的具体信息；

3）理解文中的概念性含义；

4）进行有关的判断、推理和引申；

5）根据上下文推测生词的词义；

6）理解文章的总体结构以及上下文之间的关系；

7）理解、分析作者的意图、观点或态度；

8）区分客观信息和主观信息，并作出公正评价。

工具书使用

考生能独立使用各类工具书和参考书，并具有有效通过计算机网络和图书馆系统查阅资料、获取知识的能力，能够独立从事某些课题的研究。
