2024考研英语阅读理解例证题例题分析

　　例证题的识别主要有三种：①The storyexamplecase of is used to howdemonstrateillustrate…②(事例)is used to showillustratedemonstrate…③the author use the storyexamplecase of…to show illustratedemonstrate…也就是说，但凡见到这三种问法，那么这道题毫无疑问就是我们所说的例证题了。那么识别出一道例证题之后，它在解题上有什么技巧存在呢？当然有的，例证题的答案都出自例子之前。比如2003年第四篇阅读中的一道题：

　　Death is normal we are genetically programmed to disintegrate and perish, even under ideal conditions. We all understand that at some level, yet as medical consumers we treat death as a problem to be solved. Shielded by third-party payers from the cost of our care, we demand everything that can possibly be done for us, even if it’s useless. The most obvious example is late-stage cancer care. Physicians&mdashfrustrated by their inability to cure the disease and fearing loss of hope in the patient&mdashtoo often offer aggressive treatment far beyond what is scientifically justified.

　　Medical resources are often wasted

　　Doctors are helpless against fatal diseases

　　Medical costs are becoming unaffordable

　　拿到这道题，首先从题干上不难看出这是一道例证题，题干说的是作者引用“example of cancer patient”是为了证明什么？解题第一步是先回到文章中去找癌症病人的例子，可以很轻易的找到在该段第五行出现了“late-stage cancer care”。第二步，直接找并理解例子前面的那句话，也就是我们的答案句。那么这道题中的答案句便是“Shielded by third-party payers from the cost of our care, we demand everything that can possibly be done for us, even if it’s useless.”意思是“由于我们的医疗费用受到第三方支付者的保护，我们会要求医生采取一切可能的方法来医治我们，即使这些方法没用。第三步，找与案句吻合度高的选项。选项A,B,C,D 四个选项中只有A选项“医疗资源经常被浪费”与答案句意思相吻合。所以这道题的答案是A。 这样一来，例证题的解题思路以及解题技巧便一目了然了。
