2022考研英语基础词汇讲解（2）

　　在各类考试中，都是基础先行，那么在考研英语的复习中，词汇是基础的基础。不懂词汇就无法看懂句型、词义及语法，不论是在考研英语阅读理解中，还是在考研英语写作中，词汇的掌握都是最重要的一关。下面新东方在线考研频道小编给大家整理了一些考研英语基础词汇相关内容，供考生们参阅：

　　1.divi,divid-----separate 分，分开

　　divide v 分配;分开

　　division n 分割;区分;部门

　　subdivide v 再分;细分

　　individual a 个人的;个别的; n 个人;个体

　　individually ad 单独地，逐个地

　　例句：

　　1) An invisible border divides those arguing for computers in the classroom on the behalf of students’ career prospects and those arguing for computers in the classroom for broader reasons of radical educational reform. (真题 1999, Text 3 , Paragraph 1)

　　对于计算机课堂教学，人们在观点上存在着一条无形的界限：有些人是从学生就业前景的原因出发，另一些人则从根本教育改革的更为广泛的理由出发。

　　2)It takes more than a brief encounter on a bus to distinguish between courteous convention and individual interest. (真题 1997, Text 2, Paragraph 5)

　　certain a 肯定的

　　certainly ad.一定,必定,无疑;当然,行

　　ascertain v 确定，探知

　　concert n.音乐会,演奏会;一齐,一致

　　certify v 证明;保证

　　certificate n 证书;执照

　　discreet a 慎重的，谨慎的

　　discrepancy n.相差;差异;矛盾;

　　secret a 秘密的

　　例句：

　　1)But don’t sound any alarms just yet. Consumers seem only concerned, not panicked, and many say they remain optimistic about the economy’s long-term prospects, even as they do some modest belt-tightening. (真题 2004, Text 3, Paragraph 2)

　　但是现在还不用敲警钟，消费者似乎只是有些担心，还没有开始恐慌，并且很多人还说，即使现在要稍稍勒紧点裤腰带，但他们对经济的长远前景还是保持乐观。

　　2)a discrepancy in the two reports

　　两个报告中的不一致之处。

　　3.apt----fit, ability, “适应，能力”

　　apt a 有倾向的，适当的

　　aptitude n 适应能力;才能

　　adapt v 使适应，适应(环境)

　　adaptable a 有适应能力的

　　例句：

　　In response, schools are modifying their programs, adapting instruction to children who are exceptional, to those who cannot profit substantially from regular programs. (真题 1994, Text 3, Paragraph 4)

　　作为回应，学校也在调整课程安排，使授课能够适应特殊儿童，适应那些不能从常规课程中真正获益的儿童的需要。
