But science does provide us with the best guide to the future, and it is critical that our nation and the world base important policies on the best judgments that science can provide concerning the future consequences of present actions.(2005 Text2)

　　根据题干我们可以知道题目问的是science可以帮助我们做什么，我们回到原文当中去找找有没有出现强调的是地方?有!就在does provide us，说明这里很重要。另外but表示转折，转折后面是重点，那么此处既有转折又有强调，就说明这里是重中之重，也就是答题的关键。那么这道题通过原词复现，我们就知道了本题选guide。

　　除此之外，大家应该还记得我们曾经学过一种强调句型:It is/was +强调部分+that+剩余句子。这个句型常常翻译为“正是...”“恰恰是...”那么我们看一看这种强调就行在英语考研英语当中有什么样的应用，能够怎样帮助我们解题。大家看看下面这道题。

　　The tourist streams are not entirely separate. The sightseers who come by bus -and often take in Warwick Castle and Blenheim Palace on the side -don't usually see the plays, and some of them are even surprised to find a theatre in Stratford. However,the playgoers do manage a little sight-seeing along with their playgoing. It is the playgoers, the RSC contends, who bring in much of the town's revenue because they spend the night (some of them four or five nights) pouring cash into the hotels and restaurants. The sightseers can take in everything and get out of town by nightfall. ( 2006 Text2)
